The centralization of sterilization activities and subcontracting between hospitals or industrial units have exposed sterilization packaging to new challenges. Nowadays, sterilized packaging needs to provide resistance to mechanical shocks and at the same time ensure aseptic conditions when opened at point of use.
In response to this problem, Amcor offers ULTRA® Reels & Pouches, a new type of SBS which will revolutionize packaging practices. ULTRA® consists of a surface in a porous material with a nonwoven base (90 gsm) and a laminated film surface specially developed to increase peelability performance.
Sealing is carried out using a rotary sealer identical to the models currently in use.
